Terry Cagle grew up in Abilene, the son of Howard and Winnie and the brother of Becky. He has been striving to follow Jesus for most of his life thanks to the vibrant faith he witnessed and experienced at home. The best thing about Terry is his beautiful wife, Becki, whom he met at Abilene Christian University. They have two grown daughters, Courtney Drysdale, married to Jason Drysdale, living in Denver, CO; and Carlee Kumler, married to Joshua Kumler, living in Dallas.
Before returning to Abilene to lead CCC, Terry was involved in ministry for 30+ years. He has a BSed in PE and Health, and a MS in Bible from Abilene Christian University. He loves to read, listen to music, play basketball, laugh, watch sports, wonder at God’s grace and goodness, and be thankful. He strives to not take himself too seriously while taking God very seriously.
He is excited about working with CCC as it strives to live out its name by connecting caring communities in Abilene. He loves the community coordinators, David and Janet, who are living out the love of God by loving people in the College Heights’ neighborhood and all across town. He wants everyone to come to the table and share life together as we answer Jesus’ prayer for, “the kingdom of God to come on earth as it is in heaven.”
